Issue
English Only (EO) students are not extracting in the SELA extract file.
Environment
When creating a SELA record for a student, Aeries considers ELAS History as well as several fields:
- The student does not already have an ELAS record in CALPADS
- For an English Only student, the system also checks if any of the following dates are within the current school year:
- LAC.STS - California School Start Date
- LAC.USS - US School Start Date
- STU.DD - Student District Enter Date
- STU.ED - Student School Enter Date
- The student will extract if any of these fields are on or after the student's enrollment date in the current school year.
Cause
Date fields are missing on all of the dates above or none of these dates are from the current school year.
Resolution
To include an EO student in the SELA Extract for the current school year, make sure the relevant dates are updated to the current school year.
