Teacher of Record for CALPADS Fall 2 Reporting

Who should be reported to CALPADS for Fall 2 as the Teacher of Record if the Teacher of Record is on leave or the position is vacant?
Teacher of Record on Leave: The Teacher of Record should be reported to CALPADS on Census Day (Fall 2) even if they are on leave and not expected to return until later in the year. In other words, if the position/class being covered on Census Day is NOT CONSIDERED VACANT according to the district's HR Department, report the teacher who is contractually assigned the course as the Teacher of Record.
Vacant Position NO Teacher of Record: If no permanent teacher is assigned to a class on Census Day DUE TO VACANCY, the substitute teacher who was covering the class on Census Day should be reported to CALPADS as the Teacher of Record for the course/class.
