Issue: Attendance is not showing the correct Periods meeting for the A/B days. 

  • School Options page has the Utilize A/B Days option enabled
  • The Bell Scheduler has been set up for A Days and B Days and has been assigned to the school days in the Calendar


Environment

  • Scheduling type-Secondary
  • Attendance type-Period
  • Utilize A/B Days set to "Use A/B Days"


Cause

The Block Schedule Calendar has not been set up correctly.


Resolution

The Block Schedule Calendar needs to have each day marked with an A or B in the AB column, and a check mark in the Bell Periods for only the periods that meet on that specific date. User can save time after entering one or two weeks' worth of check marks by clicking on the "Repeat First Week AB Days" or "Repeat First Two Weeks AB Days".




NOTE: If Attendance has already been submitted prior to the Block Schedule Calendar setup, it is recommended that the user run the "Students with N or More Absences" report for each day that had attendance submitted.  Run the report for each day separately, so there is a list of students for each day who may need to have absences removed that were posted in a period that did not meet that day.
