ARRS-1 – Instances of Referrals to Law Enforcement  


Number of Instances of Referrals to a Law Enforcement Agency – Number of instances of referrals to a law enforcement agency or official for all students in grades K-12 (or the ungraded equivalent).

  • These counts are limited to students in grades K-12 . 
  • These counts are divided by students have IDEA or 504 records or neither.
  • The Assertive Discipline Law Enforcement Notified (ADS.LNF) field will be used. Any Assertive Discipline records where the ADS.LNF field is Y will be counted as the student was referred to law enforcement.
  • Enrollment (ENR) records will be used to determine which school the student was enrolled in on the date of the occurrence. The Enrollment Reporting School (ENR.HS) value will be used as the CRDC Reporting School when it is not blank.
    Enrollment (ENR) records will be used to determine which school the student was enrolled in on the date of the occurrence. The Campus of Accountability (ENR.HS) value will be used as the CRDC Reporting School when it is not blank.

Students without Disabilities that were Referred to a Law Enforcement Agency – a count of K-12 students that were referred to a law enforcement agency during the reporting year. This is a count of students, not a count of instances.

  • These counts are limited to students in grades K-12. 
  • These counts are limited to students that do not have IDEA or 504 records.
