The Other Immunizations tab on the Immunizations page can be used to record vaccinations that are not required for school entry by the State. Examples of such vaccinations might be Human Papillomavirus (HPV), and/or the annual flu shot. 

Update: As of 11/4/2021 Aeries Update, fields for tracking COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) have been added to Aeries on the main tab on the Immunizations page since that vaccine may be required in some jurisdictions.

Fields Used by Other Immunizations

The Other Immunizations tab uses certain Immunizations (IMM) fields to record the doses and associated dates.

The nine Code fields will allow a user to type in up to six characters, and will save the data. However, for data consistency and ease in querying, values for these codes should be set on the Update Code Table page, so that users can choose from a limited set of codes used within the district.

The dropdowns for the IMM.O1T - IMM.O9T code fields use the code values that have been saved for IMM.O1T, so the first step is to add values for IMM.O1T on the Update Code Table page.

Add a Set of Code Values for the Other Immunizations on the Update Code Table Page

On the Update Code Table page, choose IMM and O1T from the Table and Field dropdowns.  Press the Add New Record button. Type in up to six characters for the Code and a longer Description for more detail. Both of these fields will be displayed in the Code dropdowns on the Other Immunizations tab on the Immunizations page.

The Sort value is optional, but can be used to order the Codes in the dropdown. The most commonly used Codes should be the lowest Sort order. For example, the codes added for IMM.O1T could be simply COVID, HPV and Flu:

These codes will be displayed in the dropdown in 1, 2, 3 order of COVID, Flu, and HPV because of their Sort values. 

More detailed codes can be added if desired. In this example, four different COVID-19 vaccinations have been added as Code values with accompanying Descriptions and Sort order:

Once the necessary Codes have been added, they can be used on the Other Immunizations tab on the Immunizations page.

Adding Other Immmunizations on the Immunizations Page

On Immunizations, press the Change button, then select the Other Immunizations tab.

Select an immunization from the dropdown. In this example, the COVID-19 Moderna immunization is selected:

Add the date or dates associated with each immunization. When finished, press Update to add the records or Cancel to cancel the save.

Once Other Immunizations have been added to a student's record, they are displayed in View mode on the student's Immunizations page under the Other heading:

Querying Other Immunizations

Other Immunizations can be queried on the Query page.

In this query, the first three Code fields (IMM.O1T, IMM.O2T, and IMM.O3T) and the first two dates associated with each field are being queried. The results are limited by the IMM.O1T field (only students with values in IMM.O1T are returned).
