Beginning with 2019-2020 school year database, the old status of requirements and records presented fields will no longer display on the Immunizations page. These old fields will be deprecated as of 2019-2020, but will still display in old databases. Beginning with the 5/7/2019 version of Aeries, new fields were added to better track various checkpoints for evaluating immunizations. These new fields should be used instead of the old fields, at least beginning in 2019-2020 school year, but may be used in all years. Queries are being provided to convert the data from the old fields to new fields if desired. It is recommended that all customers convert their data and processes to use these new fields.
The following are the old fields. These fields will only be available on databases before 2019-2020 school year and are being deprecated:
The following are the new fields. These fields are available for use in all school years, and are encouraged to be transitioned to for all students:
After applying the 5/7/2019 or later update, data can be copied into the new fields. Keep in mind that depending on local district procedures, the way the old fields were used may vary, so care should be taken when running any change queries to be sure the appropriate data is copied into the desired location.
Here is an example of four change queries that can be run to copy the Old Requirements Met data (code and date) into the New Requirements Met code and date for K-12. This query assumes an "X" in the old field means that the student has received all required doses. This will copy four fields: the Requirements Met date, the code, the Records Presented Code, and the Comment.
CHANGE IMM RPK TO RP CHANGE IMM RMK TO S1 CHANGE IMM RTK TO RPT CHANGE IMM RDK TO SD
After populating the new fields, this ensures full compatibility with any features of Aeries going forward.
