When entering a description for an assignment in the gradebook, links to various online resources may be added by entering the full URL to the resource (including http or https).

When the parent or student views the assignment in the parent portal, it will be displayed link the below image. Note that in the screenshot below, www.youtube.com and bit.ly/aeriessis becomes clickable hyperlinks. 

This is an easy way to disseminate assignment-related information to parents and students.
