Master Schedule
In order to report the Independent Study sections correctly to CALPADS, only Independent Study students should be enrolled in an Independent Study section. Setting Ind Study (MST.ISI) to Yes reports the section as Independent Study in the CALPADS course section extracts. A section with an Instr Strategy code of IS is also reported as Independent Study.
From Scheduling Process on the navigation tree, click Master Schedule. Select the section, click Change, set Ind Study to Yes, and save. For next year's schedule, the same Ind Study field is on Scheduling Master. Elementary schools without a Master Schedule set it on the Teachers page.
Note: When Allow Individual Sections to be Flagged for Alt Ed Scheduling is enabled on the School Settings page, an Alt Ed Sched Enabled checkbox displays on Master Schedule. This lets sections at a traditional high school be flagged as Alternative Education sections.
