Configurations

The Medication Schedule has two views; Grid and List. The page will default to the List View. The enabled view will display in Orange.

The Grid and List view both have an option Hide At Home Medications. Selecting this option will hide any medication on the Medication Schedule that was identified as "At Home" on the Medications page.

The Medication Schedule List View displays the student names in a list in alpha order by student first name. There are two tabs on the List View; Scheduled Medications and As Needed Medications. The Scheduled Medications are medications that have a specific time to be given. The As Needed Medication tab displays medications with no specific time to be given.

To edit a Medication on the List View, on the Scheduled Medications or As Needed Medications tab, click the mouse on the Edit icon next to the medication name for a student.

The Edit Medication window will display. Edit any information and then click the mouse on the Save button. The Save and Add button can be used to save any edited information and to add another new medication without having to exit the Edit Medication window.

A Medication Dose can be recorded on the Medication Schedule on the Scheduled Medications or the As Needed Medications tabs. To add a Medication Dose for a student, click on the Administer Dose button next to the student and medication.

The following box will display with options to Administer Dose, or to Skip Dose. To Administer a Dose click the mouse on the Administer Dose button.

If Administer Dose is selected, a dose for that student and medication will be logged and will display under the Dose History area.

Once a Dose has been logged for a medication, the Dose information can be edited by clicking into any field and modifying the data. After any changes are made, click the mouse on the Save Changes button.

A Medication dose can also be Skipped. To skip the dose, click the mouse on the Skip Dose button. An entry will be added under Dose History with a comment of "Dose Skipped"

The Medication Schedule Grid View displays a list of students and their medications in a Grid. The Grid View has the same Scheduled Medications and As Needed Medications tabs that the List View has.

The Grid View has a blue time scroll bar feature. Clicking on and dragging the blue bar right or left will adjust the medications displayed by the time doses are due.

The Grid View will also display the student photo if it is available. Clicking on the student name or photo will direct back to the Medications page for that student.

If a student has a medication that requires a dose be given, the medication information will display as a box on the Grid under the corresponding dose time. The Grid View Dose Box colors are as follows:

ColorDose
RedPast Due Dose
GreenSkipped Dose
PurpleDose Given
YellowDose due within 30 minutes
WhiteFuture Dose

To administer a dose on the Grid View, click the mouse on the corresponding dose box plus sign.

Note: The As Needed Medications tab will not display the dose box. It will only display the dose + sign since there is no designated time for an As Needed medication.

The following box will display with options to Administer Dose, or to Skip Dose. To Administer a Dose click the mouse on the Administer Dose button.

A dose of the medication will be administered and the box will now display purple and show the number of doses and time given.

To edit the dose information click the mouse on the dose box.

The Edit Medication window will display. Edit any information and then click the mouse on the Save button.

A Medication dose can be skipped. To skip a medication dose on the Grid View, click on the + symbol on a Dose box.

The following will display. To skip the dose, click the mouse on the Skip Dose button.

When a dose is Skipped, the Dose box will display a green color and the word Skipped.

The Skipped dose will show in the student medication Dose History recorded with a Dose Amount and Dose Quantity of 0. It will also populate with a comment of Dose was Skipped.
