Session Description

In this session, participants will explore the why behind the growing movement toward standards-based teaching, assessing, and reporting. Together, we’ll examine the core beliefs about learning that form the foundation of standards-based practice, and the teacher moves that bring those beliefs to life in the classroom. Drawing from both academic and neuroscience research, this session highlights how standards-based approaches foster clarity, equity, and continuous growth—for both students and teachers.

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the research-based rationale for this shift and practical insights into how these principles enhance learning, engagement, and communication across classrooms and schools.
