Can a grade level be excluded from District Attendance Letters?

  • Example: Can PS students be excluded when generating District Attendance Letters?

Answer:

A grade level cannot be excluded from District Attendance Letters if the same Attendance Codes are being used for all grade levels, unless the Exclude from Attendance Letters field is set to True.  



Workaround:

  • If different Attendance Codes are used for PS students (for example), these Absence codes can be excluded when selecting codes to be counted when letters are generated.
  • Or, the Exclude from Attendance Letters field can be set to True, based on the students' grade level.  Run this query to change the STU.DSL field to True (1=True) for PS students
