User is getting an error on the Classroom Attendance page of "Column 'A-1' does not belong to table DtOUT"

Environment

  • Scheduling type: Elementary w/Master or Secondary

Cause

Section(s) have the Teacher as TN 0, Unassigned

Resolution

The TN 0, Unassigned cannot be used as a valid teacher on a Section.  If there is not an actual teacher for the Section (ex: Office Aide), a Teacher record needs to be created/used. It can be a generic name, or it could be an Administrator in the office.  That is a District decision. Once a Teacher record has been created, the user will use the Teacher page function of Transfer Sections to another Teacher, and choose the generic Teacher's number. If this happens after school has started, the user needs to make sure the Crs Att Effective Date is set back to the first day of school.

For more information on transferring sections, see this Article:   Transfer Sections and Gradebooks

To avoid CALPADS errors, a Course for an Office Aide should have the State Course Code set to 6012.
