Before users start entering Intervention records, set up the drop-down lists that the Intervention Management pages use. These lists come from Update Code Table. To access Update Code Table, from the Navigation Tree click School Info | Configurations | Update Code Table.


The quickest way to get started is School Info | Configurations | Default Code Management. Its Interventions module loads a starter set of codes for most of the fields below, which can then be changed in Update Code Table.


Code Tables Used by Intervention Management


Pre-Referral Interventions page

  • PRI.ST – Progress Status
  • IPI.CD – Intervention codes on the Interventions tab. The Add Interventions window groups these codes by their Category; codes without a category display under Other.
  • PRR.CD – Reasons
  • PRN.CD – Type of Meeting on the Parent Meetings and Contacts tab


Referrals to Interventions page

  • RFI.ST – Status (see the note below)
  • ISS.CD – Student Strengths
  • IRC.CD – Reasons for Referral
  • IPI.CD – Prior Interventions (the same codes used on the Pre-Referral Interventions page)
  • STU.HL – Translation Services language (the student Home Language codes)


NOTE: The Approve and Deny buttons on the Referrals Approval page save the referral Status as A and D, so RFI.ST must have codes A (for example, Approved) and D (for example, Denied). A referral with a blank Status is treated as Pending. A blank code with the description Pending can be added so that it displays, but do not give Pending any other code; referrals with a non-blank Status do not appear as Pending on the Referrals Approval page.

The Acct Type on the Stakeholders tab (Aeries.net, Parent/Student or None) is a fixed list and is not set up in Update Code Table.


Other Setup

  • Security – Grant permissions to Pre-Referral Interventions (PRI), Referrals To Intervention (RFI) and Interventions (INV). Users who approve or deny referrals need Admin permission to RFI. The other Intervention tables are Query Only security areas that are needed only to query their data.
  • Notification emails – Enter the email addresses that are notified when a referral is submitted or approved. See Referral Notification Email Setup.
