Physical Fitness by Teacher Page
Overview
The Physical Fitness pages allow campus staff or a physical fitness administrator to view and enter scores for student physical fitness tests.
There are two pages where data is entered:
- Student Data > Test Scores > Physical Fitness Tests
- Teacher Emulation > Physical Fitness by Teacher
NOTE: Teachers can view and enter scores for physical fitness tests on the Physical Fitness page in Teacher Portal, if enabled for the school on Portal Options.
Only students in 5th, 7th, and 9th grade with records for the current testing administration are included in the Physical Fitness Test Extract. The Physical Fitness Test Results report, however, includes all students with a PFT record for a particular testing administration regardless of grade level.

If updating an existing record, the Testing Admin must not be changed.

For California users, when creating the State test file the Test Taken field is used to determine which tests were taken and the scores to be loaded (or BLANKS into test areas where the student was not tested). Even though the test taken displays a specific area in the Test Taken field, any test can contain scores. For example, Upper Body Strength has scores loaded for all tests. The Mod Pull Ups is selected in the Test Taken field because it was the last score entered.

Overall Physical Fitness Status
The school level displayed corresponds to the level of the school you are logged on to, Elementary, Middle, or High School. The Testing Pass Status (TPS) table is used to calculate the overall status.
NOTE: If scores were scanned into the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) table, the Status for each testing area, as well as the overall status field are not automatically updated. The statuses must be manually entered.
A district can also use overall status tags of Passed (Over-ride), Waiver, Pending Approval, and Requirement Met.
Waiver
The overall fitness status field can be used for waivers.
When adding a waiver for a student, the record must include the following:
- Testing Admin
- Testing Date
NOTE: To exclude students with waivers in certain grades from the Physical Fitness Test Results Report, you can create a Testing Admin for the beginning of the year just to record waivers for that year.
Delete Record
If test scores were entered in the PFT table for the wrong student, the record must be deleted instead of updated.
- Click Delete. You are prompted to confirm that you wish to delete the record.
- Click OK. The record is deleted.
Summary Tab
The Summary tab displays a student's results for all testing administrations in which they participated.
For each testing area, the following is displayed:
- The Status for each testing administration is stored in the Testing Pass Status table (TPS).
- Pass (TPS) - A check mark is displayed for overall physical fitness status for each school level (Elem, Mid, High) when the student has passed all test administrations for a particular testing area.
The overall status field at the bottom of the page is calculated from the TPS table. If a student has passed 5 of 6 testing areas, "Passed" is displayed; otherwise "Not Passed" is displayed.
