This error occurs because the student's SINF effective start or end date does not align with the student's enrollment date.

Resolution:

Confirm that your dates are accurate.  An SINF file must be submitted after the SENR file has been posted without any errors (or with very few errors).  Always post your extract files in the following order:

     1. SENR

     2. SINF

     3. SELA

     4. SPRG

Check Address History Dates.  Confirm that they align with the dates of the student's enrollment.

NOTE: When a student has an address change logged in the ADH table, this information is extracted in the SINF file. If the Effective Date is outside of the student's enrollment, the GERR0005 error occurs. Aeries will extract the SINF and use dates from within the student's enrollment for the effective date when a student withdraws from school and a change has been logged after the student's leave date. This will resolve any fatal errors caused by having an Effective Date greater than the student's leave date.
