Session Description
This session introduces SchoolDay’s self-sovereign ecosystem orchestration platform, designed to reduce data sprawl and privacy risk in K-12 environments. With student and staff data from Aeries replicated across numerous applications and increasing exposure through AI-enabled tools, districts fast growing security and compliance challenges. SchoolDay addresses this through three key principles:
- Tokenized Security: Replacing sensitive data with secure tokens to significantly reduce exposure across connected systems
- AI-Safe Workflows: Allowing districts to leverage AI and LLM tools without exposing protected student or staff information
- Data Sovereignty: Ensuring districts retain full control of their data to maintain FERPA compliance, without requiring vendors to modify their applications or disrupting the user experience.
SchoolDay is inviting districts to participate as Founder Districts in the new School Data Sovereignty Alliance and help reshape practical solutions that create a safer, more secure student data ecosystem for schools and EdTech partners alike. This platform empowers districts to modernize responsibly, protect privacy, and maintain control of their Aeries data while staying focused on their core mission.
