Grade Reporting & Gradebooks

The following Grade Reporting and gradebook tasks should be done at the beginning of the school year.



TaskAeries PageKnowledge Base Article

If using district GPAs by cohort, be sure the following fields are set correctly:

  • 9th Grade Entry Year (STU.INE) 
  • Cohort (STU.CHT)

Student Data > Demographics


Set Grad Type - Code (STU.HSG) to 34 - Foundation High School Program in order for endorsements to extract properly for PEIMS and TREx reporting.

Assign graduation tracks to students.

  • Under Endorsement, click Manage and select the FHSP Endorsements the student is working toward. 
  • Be sure to select Opt-out if the student may have classes toward an FHSP Endorsement but is not intentionally pursuing it.

Review, revise, and create student academic plans as needed.

Gradebooks

Create teacher Gradebooks using one of the following:

  • Mass create them for the school.
  • Click Mass Add Gradebooks to add multiple gradebooks at once.
  • Click Add Gradebook to create an individual Gradebook.
  • Click Copy Gradebook to make a copy of an existing Gradebook.

NOTE:

  • Indicate if teachers are required to use Gradebook Templates on Portal Management > Portal Options > Gradebook.
  • If using standards-based grading (elementary or secondary), the gradebooks must be a Rubric gradebook.

  • The Info field displays grade levels established on School Info > Teachers. If 0, the Info field displays KG.
